Description:
A rare hand-painted wooden chalice from the Abbey of San Galgano, retaining its original polychrome decoration and later varnish. Likely crafted in the late 15th or early 16th century, the chalice features haloed religious figures and a sword-in-stone heraldic symbol associated with Saint Galgano himself. Once part of the Dr. Neureberg Collection, this piece embodies the spiritual iconography and devotional craftsmanship of Renaissance Italy.
